چکیده
The aim of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity wood distillates obtained from Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) sawdust in order explore new alternatives for utilization industry by-products. were produced by slow pyrolysis thermal conversion three process phases with increasing temperatures, namely drying, torrefaction and pyrolysis, cooling units different temperatures condensate distillates. This yielded nine liquid fractions. food-related pathogens, Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes Candida albicans, evaluated their susceptibility distillate fractions using an agar diffusion test. estimated measuring formed inhibition zones after incubation period. In addition, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) microbicidic assayed a selected fraction (T2) phase Bio-screen C. results indicated that had against tested microbes. MIC value T2 all microbes 0.83% (v/v). Furthermore, Salmonella strains (v/v) solution strain 1.67% solution. conclusion, have potential be developed as agents pathogenic Next, research is needed investigate chemical composition assess safe use.

متن کاملAn Investigation of Wood-Plastic Novolac Modified by Biomass Pyrolysis Oils
The possibility of using water insoluble fraction from biomass pyrolysis oil as additive in synthesis of Wood-Plastic novolac has been proved by using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Fourier Transformed Infra Red (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Synthesis of novolac with different concentrations (10, 20 and 30 wt %) of water insoluble fraction were performed. It was found that mechanical p...
